Trick is you draw the straight lines and you feel that some informations are given
See A + B with shade of 50cm2 it is triangle
Base x height /2 got area
See C+ D another triangle and find that the no shaded area is 70
So rectangle is 20 x 12 - 70 x 2 left with shaded area
Then ask on and so fote
