Total recurring angle of a pentagon is equal to that of 3 triangles = 540 degrees. Each interior angle is equal at 108 hence the same for inner angle b.

Angle a can be derived by deducting 180 by 2b since it is an isosceles triangle. angle a would hence be 36 degrees
