Hey! You’re on the right track!
a) I can see your workings in green. That’s correct. So the area of the shaded figure is actually area of semicircle - area of triangle
Semicircle has radius of 20cm
Triangle has base length of 40cm and height same as radius of semicircle
b) (see image above) perimeter of shaded figure consists of the blue arc, orange arc and pink circle. I believe you can figure out the radius and find the length of each arc and the circle!
