Notice that each triangle's perimeter includes two of the shortest sides. But they are not exposed to the outside so they are not part of the figure's perimeter.

Subtract them to get the total length of the parts that make up the outline/perimeter.

32cm - 6cm - 6cm = 20cm

Since there are 4 triangles,

20cm x 4 = 80cm
