What Julie paid:
$61.20 * 85% = $52.02
15% of $61.20 = $9.18 = 6 tarts @ discounted price
Each discounted tart costs $9.18/6 = $1.53
(a) $52.02/$1.53 = 34 tarts
Julie bought 34 + 6 = 40 tarts.
(b) $1.53 / 0.85 = $1.80 each
