From the original equation we must change it to the form of y=Mx+c. In this case it is lgy so I suggest that u sub lgy equal cap Y so it is easier to see same as for the rest(see my working)
For (b) when small x=3 Cap x=3 Y=3/2(3)- 7/2
Y=1, lgy=1
lgy^2x=2xlgy then from there just sub lgy=1 and x=3. I hope this helps
