Change the denominator to the smallest common factor.

Smallest common factor of 3 and 7 is 21. Multiply both fractions by 3 and 7 respectively so that the denominator is both 21.

Make sure when you multiply the bottom, you multiply the top, so that if you find the fraction in the simplest form, it is the same.

Once both denominators is 21, add the numerators together, and you will the answer. If you can reduce it to its simplest form, do so

Hope it helps
