The area of a triangle is given by the formula 1/2 x a x b x sin C where C is the included angle between the lengths a and b. In the special case where the included angle is 90, we get 1/2 x a x b which is the formula for a right angled triangle.

That formula involving the sine is not exactly called the sine rule though.
