3/8 b = 3/5g + 15
15b = 24g + 600
g = 1/24 (15b - 600)
b - 112 = 1/24 (15b - 600)

g = 232 - 112 = 120
No. Of boys who performed = 232 x 5/8 = 145
No. Of girls who performed = 120 x 40% = 48
No. Of students who took part in the performance = 48 + 145 = 193
