Nice work!

Another observation we can make is that since the middle number is equal to the average of the 8 numbers, the average of all 9 numbers in the square is also the middle number.

The sum of any 3 numbers in a middle line (horizontal, diagonal, vertical) is 3 times the average. The average of these three numbers is also the same as the average for all 9 numbers/ 8 uncovered numbers.

The average of any 2 numbers directly opposite each other from the middle number is also the same as the middle number

This can be extended to bigger odd
perfect squares (5x5 , 7x7, 9 x 9, etc)
