Vignesh, a key idea for you to know, which is valid for all lines touching the horizontal x-axis, is that the gradient of that particular line is equal to the tangent of the angle that the line makes with the POSITIVE horizontal x-axis. So, here the angle it makes is 120 degrees, and the gradient will be equal to tan 120 degrees.

(In fact, the word "tangent" in "tangent to a curve" really means the trigonometric tangent; they are actually directly related in a very similar idea as this question).

tan 120 has a negative value since 120 is in the second quadrant, and its basic angle is 180 - 120 = 60, so tan 120 = - tan 60, where 60 is a special angle you must remember,
