Hi, how do you know the equation of perpendicular line is y=mx+c ? Does this apply to every other equations
The general equation of any straight line is y = mx + c where m is the gradient and c is the y intercept of the line. To find the value of c, you can sub in any given points on the line.
Since the perpendicular line is a straight line, you can apply the general formula y = mx + c on it
