Notice that the small equilateral triangles and small squares have the same side lengths.

Same goes for the big square and big triangle.

From the diagram we can see that AB = 2 short sides + 1 big side.

That's 21.5 cm.


The perimeter is made of 10 short sides and 5 big sides.

10 short sides + 5 big sides

= 5 x (2 short sides + 1 big side)

= 5 x 21.5 cm

= 107.5 cm

Following the zig zag line of the triangles, the length is 2 x 21.5

For the squares, it is 3 x 21.5

Perimeter = 5 x 21.5 = …
