i have a few doubts about the Graphs topic, and i have a few questions:

1) for the question in the pic, the answer key states that the answer is 1 ≤ t ≤ 2, but must we always express it this way? There is another question in the textbook where the answer was simply "1h"

2) Do 'duration and 'time interval' mean the same thing? what is the difference and how do we express answers?

3) For this SPT scenario:
- speed starts off constant at 5km/h
- object stops, and speed is 0km/h
- the object then starts moving again and speed is 2km/h
How do we draw the graph for this? especially the part where the speed IMMEDIATELY drops from 5 to 0. is there a need to draw a straight line down from 5 to 0? or a dotted one

Not too sure about this but imo I think time interval is more specific, whereas duration is more general. For example, 1 But if you were to put 1hour, it could mean during the 2nd-3rd hour, which would then be false.

so it's ok to express it in the first form for all time interval/ duration qns?

Uhh should be fine for time interval qn. For duration should be btr to put 1H.

Hmm for my sch we just draw like this, don’t rlly rmbr if it’s diff for sec. Not too sure but imo dotted lines just means that part of the graph “does not exist”, so drawing dotted lines would be more for your understanding no?

thats also how my teacher draws it, but he adds the dotted line so i wasnt sure if its necessary lol
thanks!

Also, the speed shouldn’t be 5km/H? Cause this is dist /time graph, so speed is just the gradient. Hence initial constant speed would be 40km/H? But yeah welc jia yous

oh the qn in the pic is not related to the scenario i just made it up because i was confused on how to draw a proper speed time graph
