Use guess and check by running through all the options given.
Firstly understand that every $30 spent,a $3 discount will be given.
$30-->discount $3
$60-->discount $6
$90-->discount $9
Then go through all the options given with $84 being the first.
If $84,you will get a discount of $6($84-$6=$72)
If $88,you will get a discount of $6($88-$6=$82)
If $90,you will get a discount of $9($90-$9=$81)
If $91you will get a discount of $9($91-$9=$82)
So since she paid $82,therefore,your only option will be D. Where the original price is $91 with a discount of $9.
