x² - (sum of roots)x + (product of roots) = 0.

Think is under Sec3 A math.
Actually it was last year, under syllabus 4047. This year’s Sec 4 students will be the final batch of students to take 4047.
This year’s Sec 3 syllabus, which is 4049 (for O level exam from 2021) no longer has it in the new syllabus. Having said that, private candidates can still take 4047 for a few years to come, but government school students are now taking 4049.
