Yes, (4) is the answer. If you put a line of symmetry diagonally from the top right square (with a pencil so you can erase it later).

Incorrect. The figure in option 4 is not symmetric, as there is no line you can draw across the figure such that the shaded parts on either side are mirror images of the other side.

The correct option is (1) since you can draw horizontal line right across the middle of the square to achieve this.

Put a horizontal line (symmetric line)in the center... divide the figure into 2. Top and bottom are mirrored images
