One Answer Below
This question need another answer.
Please help. On part C (ii). Thanks
90 pieces of Pen A are sold at $3.50 each.
140 pieces of Pen B are sold at $2.40 each.
130 pieces of Pen C are sold at $2.50 each.
180 pieces of Pen D are sold at $1.80 each.
Total sales of Pen A
= 90 x $3.50
= $31.50
Total sales of Pen B
= 140 x $2.40
= $33.60
Total sales of Pen C
= 130 x $2.50
= $32.50
Total sales of Pen D
= 180 x $1.80
= $32.40
So it cannot be that Pen D generates the most quantity of sales, even though the shop sells the greatest number of Pen D.
So, the statement is false.
If they do mean the profit earned (sales - cost), we won’t be able to tell the result since we do not know the actual cost price of the pens (we are only given the sales prices).
