Since AB : AC = 4 : 7,
AB : BC = 4 : 3 (because 7 - 4 = 3)
Since BD to CD is 7 : 2.
BC to CD is 5 : 2 (because 7 - 2 = 5)
So
- AB : BC is 4 : 3
- BC : CD is 5 : 2
We make BC the same.
AB : BC : CD is 20 : 15 : 6
AD has a total of 41 units of length, or 82 cm long.
1 unit is 2 cm long.
AB is 20 units, or 40 cm long.
AB : BC = 4 : 3 (because 7 - 4 = 3)
Since BD to CD is 7 : 2.
BC to CD is 5 : 2 (because 7 - 2 = 5)
So
- AB : BC is 4 : 3
