2x^2 +5 x + n = 0 (equation 1)
Sub x = 1/2
2(1/2)^2 + 5/2 + n = 0
1/2 + 5/2 + n =0
3+n = 0
n= -3
Sub n =-3 into equation 1
2x^2 + 5x -3 = 0
(2x-1) (x+3) = 0
x + 3 = 0
x = -3
The second set of x solution is -3 .
