In transferring the paintings from Mr Yap to Mr Lim, there is no change in the total number of paintings that they both have altogether.

They still have 508 paintings at the end.

Mr Lim has 3 units of paintings at the end and Mr Yap has 1 unit of paintings at the end.

4 units = 508 paintings
1 unit = 127 paintings
3 units = 381 paintings

So, Mr Lim has 381 paintings at the end. This is after My Yap gives Mr Lim 136 paintings.

Number of paintings Mr Lim has at first
= 381 - 136
= 245
