Is it necessary to find the turning point? And how do u find it?

The turning point is not a must to find. But without knowing it, most of us will assume that (0, 12) is a turning point as we sketch the graph.

With the actual value of the turning point being so close to zero (by less than 0.1 units away), it is no surprise that we assume (0, 12) to be a turning point.

To work out the turning point, we need to use a Sec 4 A Maths technique on differentiation (maxima and minima). But this may be too advanced for you at the moment, so I won't go into the details.

I am surprised that you have to sketch this graph because its graph is not required to be drawn at Sec 3 Level. I don't even think you need to draw such graphs at the O Levels (where necessary, they will provide the shape).
