1st.. Rema received 1/3 of the candy (of the total)
Mean total have 3u, Rema take 1u
Remainder 3u -1u= 2u

Next...
Sashi received 1/4 of remainder 2u plus 15 candy.
Here, we made the remainder 2u to 4 parts for easy calculations
Mean... Sashi take 1p +15
Left 3p - 15
As given 3p - 15 = 39
3p = 39+15
3p = 54
1p = 18
Therefore,
Sashi received = 1p + 15
Sashi received = 18 + 15 = 33.

Hence, we know that remainder is 4p (or 2u)
Remainder = 4p
Remainder = 4 x 18
Remainder = 72
Remainder is 4p = 2u
So, 2u is 72
2u = 72
1u = 36
At 1st= 3u
1st = 3 x 36
1st = 108.

Hope this helps.

You can draw a branching for better visualization rather than imagination :)
