An idea. Note that the only criteria we need for this question is for the line to be perpendicular to that given line.

btw how to know when to use y=mx+c and y-y1=m(x-x1) tho because both of then are equations of a straight line
Either one is ok. It’s your preference. In any situation which arises, we can use either form.
