lg y = (b + x) lg a
lg y = (lg a) x + b lg a

The (b + x) comes down together as a bracket

The other way to get to the equation :

lg y = lg a^(b+x)

lg y = lg (a^b a^x)

lg y = lg a^b + lg a^x

lg y = lg a^b + x lga

Rewrite as lg y = lga x + lg a^b

Compare this to Y = mX + C
