3a

Multiples of 4 are those numbers which leave no remainder when divided by 4.

15 leaves a remainder of 3.
32 leaves no remainder.
60 leaves no remainder.
72 leaves no remainder.
88 leaves no remainder.

Another to see this is to list the first few multiples of 4.

4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 76, 80, 84, 88, ...

We see that 32, 60, 72 and 88 are in the list.

So, the multiples of 4 are 32, 60, 72 and 88.

3b

Multiples of 8 are those numbers which no leave no remainder when divided by 8.

15 leaves a remainder of 7.
32 leaves no remainder.
60 leaves a remainder of 4.
72 leaves no remainder.
88 leaves no remainder.

So, 32, 72 and 88 are multiples of 8. Also note that 8 has a factor of 2, so all multiples of 8 are also multiples of 2.

So, the common multiples of 2 and 8 are 32, 72 and 88.

This can also be seen by multiplying 7 by 5.

4b

6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, ...

The eighth number in the list is 38.
