to Suzie,
the distance d is marked incorrectly in diagrams (d) (f) & (g).
for moments = force x distance, the distance should be the perpendicular distance from the line of action of the force, to the turning point.
it should be like in (c), where you draw a line perpendicular to the direction of F, instead of drawing a line perpendicular to the rod.
