Q8. Divide all sides by ./3 and simplify.
Q9. If 3 + 2 ./5 is a root, then 3 - 2./5 is also a root.
A pity that sum of roots and product of roots is out of the syllabus. Because of this, you have to use other approaches like this.
[x - (3 + 2 ./5)] [x - (3 - 2 ./5)] = 0
And fully expand into a quadratic equation.
Will look at this by 2 am if no one else has responded and I can still remember.

hi there, heres my solution for qn 8! the trick to solving surd questions is to always simplify to a common surd!
