f(27) = f(23 + 4) = f(23)
f(23) = f(19 + 4) = f(19)
Etc.
The idea is to keep moving backwards by 4.
f(27) = f(23) = f(19) = f(15) = f(11) = f(7) = f(3)
= 2(3) - 1 (based on 2x - 1)
= 4
f(45) = f(41) = f(37) = f(33) = f(29) = f(25) = f(21) = f(17) = f(13) = f(9) = f(5) = f(1)
= 7 - 1² (based on 7 - x²)
= 6
f(23) = f(19 + 4) = f(19)
Etc.
