use gradient = (y1-y2) / (x1-x2)
and product of gradients of 2 perpendicular lines is -1

so,
gradient of AB x gradient of BC = -1
[(1-4) / (1-(-1))] x [(k-4)/(6-(-1))] = -1
(-3/2) x (k-4)/7 = -1
gives k = 26/3
