If the disk does not turn, it means mass of A = mass of B = 2.5g.

If either block has a different mass, the disk would have turned downwards in the direction of the heavier block.

Mass is 10g. It should be the same mass/weight as the other block since they are of same distance from the centre. Clockwise moment caused by B is contracted by anticlockwise moment caused by A and hence the disk doesn't rotate.
