Since they have the same height, then 2 heights = 12cm

1 height = 12cm ÷ 2 = 6cm

Each triangle area

= ½ x base x height
= ½ x base x 6cm
= 3cm x base


But notice that their bases all add up to 21cm. And they have the same height


So total area of all the triangles

= 3cm x (base of A) + 3cm x (base of B) + 3cm x (base of C) + 3cm x (base of D) + 3cm x (base of E)

= 3cm x (base A + base B + base C + base D + base E)

= 3cm x (combined base length)

= 3cm x 21cm

= 63cm²

Very creative way! Might not work if there are obtuse triangles though.
