BEC is 38 (vertically opposite angles)
ABE is 110
EBC is 180 - 110 = 70 (because line AC is a straight line and angles in a straight line add up to 180)
BEC = 38
EBC = 70
a = 180 - 38 - 70 = 72 (because sum of angles in triangle BCE is 180)
a = 72
b = 180 - 72 = 108 (because line BD is a straight line and angles in a straight line add up to 180)
