a) Price of x pencils = $30
Price of one pencil ($) = 30/x
b) Price of one pencil ($) = 30/x
Price of 2 pencils ($)= 30/x *2 = 60/x
Price of 4 pens ($) = y
Price of 8 pens ($)= 2y
Cost of 2 pencils and 8 pens ($)
= 60/x + 2y
2 (30/x + y)
Price of one pencil ($) = 30/x
b) Price of one pencil ($) = 30/x
Price of 2 pencils ($)= 30/x *2 = 60/x
Price of 4 pens ($) = y
Price of 8 pens ($)= 2y
Cost of 2 pencils and 8 pens ($)
= 60/x + 2y
2 (30/x + y)
