Another method for solution:
1 girl —> 2 paper cranes

3 boy —-> 2 paper cranes
So, 1 boy —> 2/3 paper cranes.

Total = 100
Total boy and girl = 80

Assume all are girl fold for paper cranes
Total = 80 x 2 = 160
Shortfall = 160 - 100 = 60
Difference paper crane fold by 1 girl and 1 boy = 2 -2/3 = 4/3

Therefore, number of boy
= 60 /(4/3)
= 60 x 3/4
= 45

Girls= 80 - 45 = 35.

Hope this helps too
