Where it cuts the x-axis,
y = 0
x2 - 64/x = 0
x2 = 64/x
x3 = 64
Taking cube roots,
x = 4
(4, 0)
From part i,
dy/dx
= 2x + 64/x2
= 2(4) + 64/(4^2)
= 8 + 4
= 12
So,
y = mx + c
0 = 12 (4) + c
-48 = c
So the tangent is y = 12x - 48.
y = 0

x2 = 64/x
x3 = 64
