Reason 1: The colour of the egg is similar to that of a cliff, protecting the egg and stopping predators from spotting it, in comparison to Egg B which is white and more noticeable with placed against a cliff.

Reason 2: As Bird G does not build a nest, and its eggs are laid near edges of the cliff, Egg A is more suitable as it spins on the spot when moved, rather than Egg B which rolls and is thus more at risk of rolling off the edge of the cliff.
