The arrow is pointing to somewhere in the middle of the 20.5kg and 20.75kg divisions.

So it would be closer to 20.6kg than 20.4kg

The middle of 20.5 and 20.75 would be their average

= (20.5 + 20.75) ÷ 2
= 41.25 ÷ 2
= 20.625

Welcome. Good effort on being able to spot the division for 21kg and to label it.

The thing to note for this question is that every 2 kg on the scale is split into 8 divisions, (4 major and 4 minor)

This means every 1kg on the scale is split into 4 divisions (2 major and 2 major)

Each division = 1kg ÷ 4 = 0.25kg (or 250g)
