What is g(x)? Is it the same as f(x)?
Functions are usually defined as f(x), g(x), h(x) and so on. Of course, you cannot two different functions as f(x) and f(x), because it would then be contradictory for this question.
Hence, we use a separate notation g(x) where both f(x) and g(x) are different functions.
