possible mistake in the question ...
the 3rd line is incomplete. assume that the question mean to say a counter was pick from bag A and placed into bag *B*.
there are 4 possible cases …
1. red, red
2. red, black
3. black, red
4. black, black
we are interested in case 1+case 3
probability of red counter from B
= P(r from A) x P(r from B) + P(b from A) x P(r from B)
= (4/7)x(5/10) + (3/7)x(4/10)
= 2/7 + 6/35
= 16/35
