Dividing both sides by 15,
(15x) / 15 = -3 / 15
15 * x / 15 = -3/15
x = -3/15
x = -1/5
-4x = -16
Cancelling the negative signs,
4x = 16
Dividing both sides by 4,
(4x) / 4 = 16 / 4
4 * x / 4 = 16/4
x = 16/4
x = 4
Dividing both sides by 15,
(15x) / 15 = -3 / 15
