There are 9 - 3 = 6 more stacked cones in the longer stack than the shorter stack.
The longer stack is 26 - 14 = 12 cm longer than the shorter stack.
The length of a stacked cone is 12 / 6 = 2cm.
For a stack of 50cm (1/2 m), we can first put 9 stacked cones of total length 26cm. This leaves us with 50 - 26 = 24cm space for additional cones.
In 24cm of space, we can place 24 / 2 = 12 more stacked cones.
Therefore, in the box, there is space for 9 + 12 = 21 cones.
