a) since the line cuts the curve, we can make both equations equal to each other. after finding the x coordinate for both points A and B, sub the x value back to any of the equation to get the y coordinate.
b) Since its area under the graph, I took the line equation minus the curve equation and integrated it.

answer for part (b) is incorrect.
you wrote your integration sign but did not integrate the expression at all. (you just wrote back the original expression).
after integration, should be -(x^3)/3+3x^2-5x.
thereafter, substitute in 5 & 1 and calculate.
final answer is 10 2/3 sq units (ten and two-thirds).
