Let the 2 number x and
x-14
x (x-14) = -48
x²-14x + 48 = 0
(x-6)(x-8) = 0
When x - 6 = 0, x = 6
The 2 number = 6, 6-14 = -8
When x - 8 = 0, x = 8
The 2 number = 8, -6
Sum of 2 numbers
6 + (-8) = -2
and
8 + (-6) = 2
