Part (I) is an application requiring the a^3-b^3 as mentioned in the previous answer.

To add on to part (II), difference in 2 consecutive odd numbers will ALWAYS result in an integer. (e.g. 3-1/5-3/7-5 etc).

Dividing the general equation of the difference in cubes by anything other than 1 or 2 will result in a non-integer value. So to answer the question, dividing the equation by 4 gives a non-integer hence never divisible by 4.
