Realise that 4^2x can be changed to 2^4x
Your 3rd step should be :
2^(4x + 3) / (24(4^2x) + 16 (2^4x) )
= 2³(2^4x) / (24(2^4x) + 16(2^4x) )
= 8 /(24 + 16)
(you can cancel out 2^4x from both numerator and denominator)
= 8/40
= 1/5
2^(4x + 3) / (24(4^2x) + 16 (2^4x) )
= 2³(2^4x) / (24(2^4x) + 16(2^4x) )
= 8 /(24 + 16)
(you can cancel out 2^4x from both numerator and denominator)
= 8/40
= 1/5
