For clockwise moment, we consider the 20cm mark to be the pivot for our working. For anti clockwise moment, we consider the 70cm mark to be our pivot for our working. For calculation, express everything in SI units (eg. Metre instead of cm). We need to add 20cm to our x to get the because x is the distance from the 20cm marking that we should hang our mass on.
