Teacher is there any easy simple steps to find angle a and b?
= 180° - 35° - 36°
= 109°
Now in this triangle,
109° = 42° + the upper unknown angle
(Exterior angle = sum of 2 interior opposite angles)
So the unknown angle = 109° - 42° = 67°
This angle 67° is equal to the sum of angle a and angle b
(Property : exterior angle = sum of 2 interior opposite angles)
The triangle we are looking at here is the big narrow triangle that contains both a and b.
Notice that this 67° is an exterior angle of it
