sec 2x - tan 2x = √3 / (1 + cosec 2x)

(sec 2x - tan2x)(1 + cosec 2x) = √3

Since you have already proved in i) that

(1 + cosec θ) (sec θ - tanθ) = cot θ,

Then,

cot 2x = (sec 2x - tan2x)(1 + cosec 2x) = √3

So cot 2x = √3

1/tan2x = √3

so tan2x = 1/√3 = √3 / 3

Solve for this.

(The 2x is merely a substitution of θ)
