Your scientific calculator can solve equations up to x^3 only.
So use your calculator find answer and then “act” like you trial-and-error your way to the answer using factor theorem.
This saves time and effort and they can’t penalise you since you’ve proven you found the answer using a theorem which is part of your syllabus.
You may not have learnt this but can keep this as reference since O’s is consolidation of topics anyway.

Dream, if you are using a Casio fx 96 sg plus calculator, you can do a polynomial solving for powers up to 3; I can’t remember whether Casio fx 97 sg plus or sharp calculator can do powers up to 4. One of them is capable of doing up to power 4.
